Aberdeen-based digital marketing agency Red Evolution said yesterday it had opened a London office to meet increased demand from the south of the UK.

The company, which specialises in web design and inbound marketing, added it had secured more than £100,000-worth of new business from outside the north-east in 2016 so far.

New contracts have come from a diverse range of companies, including car finance and information technology support, and a wide geographical area stretching from Perthshire to London, it said, adding the most distant new client was a manufacturing company in France.

Most of the new projects combine elements of website design with content planning and creation, with the aim of driving new leads to the clients’ businesses.

Red Evolution director Dave Robinson said: “We have been proactively targeting new business across the UK, using our website and an inbound marketing approach to generate leads.

“It has taken a while but the activity is really starting to pay off. Having a base in London makes it easier to service our English clients, and meet prospective customers who want to see us face-to-face.”

Red Evolution, which also has an office in Aboyne, said it had also signed up two new oil and gas sector clients in recent months and seen an increase in local inquiries since the second quarter of 2016.

Mr Robinson added: “It is reassuring to hear from companies that appreciate the value of investing in their online assets.

“When times are hard, we are firm believers in going out and finding new ways to get business. We are delighted to see it working for us and to have the opportunity to help other companies achieve the same success.”

The firm also said new websites for small charities in the area showed it was being “careful not to abandon its Deeside roots”.
