The prospects for north-east business will be under the spotlight at a Press and Journal Morning Briefing in Aberdeen next month.
Five high-profile panellists will take part in the event – Securing the future of the North-East: Making the Most of Your Financial Year – at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa from 8.30-10.30am on Friday March 23.
Today, we are announcing the names of the first three speakers – Alexander Garden, Jennifer Craw and Geoff Aberdein.
Mr Garden is a highly respected partner and head of tax and succcession at Scottish law firm Turcan Connell, which is sponsoring the event. He specialises in tax and estate planning for private clients and charity law.
Mrs Craw is chief executive and a board director of economic development body Opportunity North East. Her past roles saw her leading a business transformation project at oil giant Shell and going on to become chief executive at Scottish Enterprise Grampian. Mr Aberdein – now global head of public affairs for Standard Life Aberdeen – was head of press for the SNP at Westminster and then special adviser to the Scottish Government. He later became chief of staff to then first minister Alex Salmond and played a key role in the independence referendum of 2014.
