Aberdeen firm ESS Support Services Worldwide is to provide catering and hotel services to 180 people on a new deepwater drillship after winning the £10.5million contract.
The work will be carried out on the Bolette Dolphin, owned by Norway-based drilling contractor Dolphin Drilling.
ESS, part of catering and facilities management services giant Compass Group, said the deal was for three years.
The firm has provided food and housekeeping services on the Belford Dolphin since 2007.
Ronnie Kelman, business director for ESS Offshore, said the new work was secured thanks to “our excellent performance onboard the Belford Dolphin and our long-standing relationship with Dolphin Drilling.”
Dolphin Drilling UK managing director Graeme Murray said: “They have proved their expertise with a
stellar performance on the Belford Dolphin.”
The 751-foot Bolette Dolphin is one of the most advanced deepwater drillships in the market.
It was built at the Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea.
