Wood Group PSN boss Robin Watson scooped a national business award last night at a ceremony in London.
Mr Watson won an award for global director of the year at the Institute of Directors’ annual awards final.
The fifth annual event chooses national winners from regional heats held earlier in the year.
The organisation’s Lifetime Achievement Award was handed to Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson.
David Watt, Executive Director of IoD in Scotland, said: “Hearty congratulations to Robin, who so thoroughly deserves this award.
“His win just goes to show that the very best of Scotland’s business leaders are also some of the best in the world. Of course, that’s something we at IoD Scotland have known for a while.
“We are all the more pleased as Robin is one of a host of world class speakers at our annual IoD Scotland conference on Friday.”
