Banchory-based housebuilder and construction firm Bancon Group aims to treble the number of houses it builds annually over the next few years.
Its growth plans follow a recent financing deal with Santander Bank.
The value was undisclosed but Bancon said it paved the way for many more new homes.
Bob Hutcheson, who took over as chairman last December from founder and owner James Burnett of Leys, added: “The new finance available from Santander should enable us to achieve our ambitious growth objectives over the next few years.
“With this significant injection of working capital and our access to a number of quality developments, we fully expect to see a dramatic increase in our activity. This is a very exciting time for the group.”
The company expects to build around 110 homes around the north-east neat year, with the construction rate trebling from its current level to 200 units a year by 2017.
Currently in Aberdeen, its main focus is Maidencraig Village – its biggest development to date, comprising more than 800 homes and other facilities.
New developments are also planned in Banchory sites and at Milltimber West in Aberdeen.
Derek Busby, relationship director at Santander Corporate and Commercial, said: “Bancon Group, with its impressive and well-conceived growth plan, is an attractive new customer for us.
“We were keen to support it with the external finance it needs.”
