Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce scooped the top award at the business “Oscars” last night.
The group was crowned “Chamber of the Year” at the British Chamber of Commerce awards.
It beat off competition from across the UK at a glittering ceremony at the Tower of London Pavillion.
Judges praised the organisation’s work to grow its membership and represent North Sea oil and gas firms.
Accepting the prestigious prize, chamber chief executive Bob Collier said: “This is for our members, who are the granite that the chamber is built on.”
He later added: “It’s great to win the award for all the staff at the chamber who have worked very hard and deserve this.”
Chamber chairman Alec Carstairs said: “I’m extremely proud of Bob Collier and his team who together have done an fantastic job for the business community in the north-east.
“The key to our success has been the relationship with our members which has been strengthened by the relationship with our members through research, policy and membership services.”
Inverurie based salon Elan Hair Design finished runner-up in the sustainability award.
