A photojournalist who survived stepping on an improvised explosive device (IED) will offer some insight on determination to succeed at a festival aimed at inspiring hundreds of entrepreneurs and business owners in Aberdeen in November.
Giles Duley lost both his legs and his left arm in the incident in Afghanistan where he was documenting the work of charities helping to mitigate the impact of conflict and
humanitarian crises.
Known as the One Armed Chef, the storyteller and campaigner will share the passion for his work that helped him overcome his injuries at the Transform Business Festival at Aberdeen Science Centre on Tuesday 8 November.
Duley will launch the day-long festival which starts with a business breakfast at 8am.
What follows will be a range of “bitesize business sessions” and fireside chats throughout the day, covering topical issues from starting a business, branding, and selling online to reducing costs and looking at the shape of the workforces of tomorrow.
