Aberdeen family law specialist Patience and Buchan (P&B) has promoted one of its team, Ashley Simpson, to partner level.
Ms Simpson joined the firm from T Duncan and Co of Montrose in 2011, having graduated from Aberdeen University in law and accountancy in 2007.
The former Aberdeen Grammar School pupil became an associate partner at P&B in 2014.
Accredited as a specialist in both family law and child law by the Law Society of Scotland, she is also trained in collaborative law.
Founding partners Iain Patience and Lorna Buchan said: “We are delighted to assume Ashley as a partner.
“The appointment not only recognises her hard work and expertise, but also reflects the consistently high level of feedback we receive from her clients.
“The appointment also underlines our commitment as a firm to continue to provide the highest standards of service to our expanding client base.”
Mr Patience, who teamed up with Ms Buchan to launch the business in 2000, added: “We have deliberately kept the firm niche as part of our appeal is that you don’t deal with a partner and then get shunted to subordinate staff.”
