Banff couple Mike and Leona Foote have been busy over recent months building scale models of a traction engine and threshing mill.
The models will be auctioned to raise funds for Banff Parish Church at the forthcoming Harvest Thanksgiving Lunch on October 2. This is the third year the couple have made models to raise money for the church. Previously it was a Land Rover and then a combine harvester, both raising a three-figure sum.
This year the model comprises of two motorised parts. They are both made of wood and took Mike about four months to build. The overall length together is 1.20 metres, and the threshing mill is 30cm high.
The models will be auctioned as one lot and bids can be made my e-mailing janetsimpson@banffparishchurchofscotland.co.uk or by telephoning the church office on 01261 818211.
