A young farmer from Tomintoul was crowned overall champion at the Rising Stars Calf Show.
The contest of commercial cross calves with show potential, which forms part of the Aberdeen Christmas Classic, was judged by Scott Watson of Old Repeater Station, Muirdrum, Carnoustie.
Leading the charge taking both the open and overall champion titles was and entry from Mark Robertson, of Easter Fodderletter, Tomintoul, Ballindalloch. His champion British Blue cross heifer was bred by Alistair Robson of Old Manse, Huntly.
Meanwhile, the young farmers champion title was awarded to Jack Hendry of Heads of Auchinderran, Aultmore, Keith.
Mr Hendry took the award with a March-born Limousin cross heifer by Redstroke Egor. She was bred by J.A. Cruickshank, Coleburn Farm, Longhmorn, Elgin.
