The 34th Yara Farmers Curling Competition kicked off at the Dewars Centre in Perth today.
The competition, which attracts competitors from all over Scotland and farther afield, is regarded as Europe’s largest curling competition.
Organised and sponsored by fertiliser giant Yara, this year’s competition has attracted entries from 72 teams.
Yara describes the event as “the highlight of the Scottish farming calendar” and a “fierce, yet friendly competition”.
The company’s area manager John Middleton is pictured throwing the first stone of the competition with Gwen Prentice’s team from the Borders and Jackson Robb’s team from Perth.
Event organiser Alan Wood, also known as Woodie, is pictured in the centre.
