The Scotch beef and lamb brands will be on show in Toronto and Hong Kong next month at the food and hospitality trade fairs – SIAL Canada and Hofex.
Samples of top quality Scotch meat will be available for tasting at the Canadian event and several Scottish red meat exporters will then fly the flag for the brands at a tradeshow which attracts over 50,000 buyers from across Asia.
QMS head of marketing, Laurent Vernet, said that both the Canadian and Hong Kong markets offered significant potential for sales growth in the coming years.
“With the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada commencing on July 1, it is important that Scotch beef and lamb are top of mind with influential buyers. SIAL Canada is the perfect place to conduct business with these individuals,” he said.
“Hong Kong is another important, premium market for the Scottish red meat industry with real scope to further grow business as buyers look for natural and extensive production methods, along with grass-fed diets.”
