A Moray farm is set to throw open its gates to visitors to help them learn more about what agricultural life.
The owners of Pitgaveny Farm, near Elgin, welcomed 3,000 people onto their land for an open day two years ago.
They are now hoping for a repeat of that feat, having announced a follow-up event for later this month.
It will take place as part of a nationwide scheme aimed at making farms “more accessible” to people unfamiliar with rural life.
Adult visitors will gain the opportunity to get behind the wheel of some farming vehicles as they take on digger and tractor driving challenges.
The farm’s livestock will be showcased, alongside poultry exhibitions and a display of Zwartbles sheep.
Rebecca Russell, who owns Pitgaveny with her brother Crinan, urged people to attend.
She said: “We really enjoy having the chance to share what we do on the farm with the local people around us.
“It’s also a superb opportunity to raise some funds for worthwhile causes.”
The farm’s manager, Martin Birse, added: “This is fantastic chance for us to show people the work that we do on the farm, and to let them meet many of the people who contribute to the crops and livestock that we produce.”
There will be demonstrations of machinery old and new, offering attendees an insight into how farming has changed with the times.
Other attractions include sheepdog trials, sheep-shearing displays and dog agility demonstrations.
A farmer’s market marquee, which previously proved “extremely popular”, will serve up delicacies from a range of local food producers.
And Burghead’s Bothy cafe will bring its mobile catering van to the event to make sure people don’t go hungry.
The open day will run from 11am until 4pm on Sunday, May 28.
Funds raised during the day will go to the Quarriers social care group, the Earthtime outdoors learning group and the Keith-based Reap food charity.
The previous event in 2015 raised more than £10,000 for worthy causes.
The farm will follow up the open day on Monday, May 29, by welcoming 200 Elgin Academy pupils for a tour.
