The panel of speakers for a special question time session at this month’s AgriScot event has been unveiled by the Scottish Dairy Hub.
The dairy advisory service has organised the event, which takes place at AgriScot at Ingliston, Edinburgh, on Wednesday, November 15.
The panel of speakers includes: First Milk chief executive officer Shelagh Hancock; NFU Scotland vice-president and south-west dairy farmer Gary Mitchell; AHDB Dairy chairman Gwyn Jones; and independent dairy analyst and journalist Chris Walkland.
Scottish Dairy Hub manager Stuart Martin said the question time session should be a “lively and exciting debate” giving farmers the chance to ask questions directly to leading dairy industry figures.
“We won’t have a set agenda, but will be asking dairy farmers to e-mail questions to the Hub or tweet using the hashtag #DairyHubQT, and we will be able to put many of those questions directly to the panel,” said Mr Martin.
“Of course, they can still get involved the old fashioned way, simply by coming along and putting their hand up.”
The dairy question time session will take place in Seminar Room 1 at AgriScot from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
