North Aberdeenshire arable farm for sale for £2.8m
ByGemma Mackenzie
A 572-acre arable farm on the north coast of Aberdeenshire has been launched to the market for £2.885 million.
Kinloch, which was once one of the principal farms on the Pitfour Estate, is located between St Fergus and Peterhead.
For sale as a whole or in four lots, the farm comprises 572 acres of mostly Grade 3.2 land, a seven-bedroom house complete with a 650kW biomass boiler, a 12-acre loch, and a private sandy beach. The biomass boiler serves all the dwellings and buildings and provides income through the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
Selling agent Galbraith said Kinloch offered business opportunities for a sizeable solar farm and for two 2.5MW wind turbines.
John Bound from Galbraith said: “Kinloch is a real one off; a lovely family home with so many activities to enjoy but also a commercial farm with great renewable development potential. It is definitely a farm with a difference and one to consider.”
