The north region of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers’ Clubs (SAYFC) has launched a fundraising drive to raise £16,000 for youth charities.
Each of the region’s seven districts – from Orkney in the north to Aberdeen and Kincardine in the south – is aiming to raise £2,000 each for their chosen charities.
The SAYFC north region committee is also hoping to raise a further £2,000, and this will be split among the region’s chosen charities.
SAYFC north region chairman Michael Gunn said the fundraising goals had been set to coincide with 2018 being the Year of Young People.
“SAYFC has always encouraged its members to be active citizens within the local community and I feel that this is a very important part of what makes Young Farmers great,” he said.
“I would like to encourage all clubs and districts to undertake this challenge and raise as much money as possible for youth charities in their area.”
