A trainee auctioneer from the north-east has been awarded joint top student of the year in his course at Harper Adams University.
Ellis Mutch, who joined Aberdeen & Northern Marts (ANM) in August 2017, has recently entered his second year of the livestock market operations and management course.
Mr Mutch will spend a further three years working towards the qualification, while in full-time employment at ANM. He will then gain fellowship status at the Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers in Scotland.
ANM chief executive, Grant Rogerson, said: “We are delighted for Ellis in achieving this award, which is testament to his hard work and effort.”
