The long service award winners with RNAS directors.
A group of 13 employees, with a combined total of 482 years’ service in the agricultural sector, was presented with long-service awards at yesterday’s Spring Show.
Most of the recipients were employees of farm machinery dealer Ravenhill, and 11 of its staff were recognised.
They were: Gordon Reid, 44 years at the Turriff branch; Brian Laing, 43 years at the Elgin branch; David Whyte, 40 years at the Elgin branch; Helen Riddoch, 38 years at the Elgin branch; Alistair Wilson, 36 years at the Elgin branch; Leslie Finnie, 33 years at the Elgin branch; John Wills, 33 years at the Elgin branch; Norman Thomson, 31 years at the Maud branch; Jean Gray, 31 years at the Turriff branch; John Young, 31 years at the Aberdeen branch; and Gordon Murray for 30 years at both the Aberdeen and Maud branches.
The other two long-service awards were presented to employees of W Reid & Co (Muirton) at Whitecairns, and W & W Mackie, Whiteside, Tullynessle.
Douglas Robertson was given a 40-year award for his time at W Reid & Co, while James Yule was given an award for 46 years’ service at W & W Mackie.
