Mearns JAC was crowned cream of the crop in this year’s Young Farmers Northern Spotlights competition.
The contest, organised by the Scottish Association of Young Farmers’ Clubs (SAYFC) with sponsorship from W & W Mackie Ltd, was held at Inverurie Town Hall.
Four teams went head-to-head and performed a 10-minute sketch.
The judges were former north region and national chairman Rachel Anderson; past-west region and national chairman Scott Wilson; and past-national chairman and current national president Andrew Peddie.
They awarded the top prize to Mearns JAC’s performance titled Runaway. Second place went to Deer & District JAC’s, while Echt YFC was placed third and Turriff & District JAC fourth.
The Marr Salver, presented for the best individual act, went to Alex Stephen of Mearns JAC.Reserve went to Joanna Foubister of Echt YFC.
SAYFC north region chairman Michael Gunn said: “Well done must go to all competitors for taking part; it takes a huge amount of effort and commitment from members and producers.”
