Scotland’s largest agricultural organisation will embark on a tour of Scotland to inform members of its activities.
The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS), which organises the four-day Royal Highland Show, will hold regional meetings across October and November.
The society said the aim of the events was to update members on RHASS activities, including the Royal Highland Education Trust, and work on the new Royal Highland Show members’ area, Quadrant One, which is due for completion prior to next year’s show.
The meetings will be attended by RHASS staff and local regional directors.
“It is really important to the RHASS team that we meet with members on their own turf and take the time to understand what’s important to them,” said RHASS chairman, Bill Gray.
“Our members are the lifeblood of the society and their views will shape our future direction in line with our charitable remit.
“I am very much looking forward to meeting as many people as possible over the next couple of months.”
Meetings in the north and north-east kick off with an event at the Caledonian Stadium in Inverness on Monday October 28.
A second Highland region event is planned for the Pentland Hotel in Thurso, Caithness, on Tuesday October 29, and an Aberdeenshire event takes place at the Thainstone Centre, near Inverurie, on Monday November 11.
Each event starts at 7.30pm and is expected to run for two hours.
