Turriff breeder Robbie Wilson was crowned top of the flocks in this year’s North of Scotland Texel Club flock contest.
Mr Wilson, who runs the Milnbank flock at North Dorlaithers Farm, took the top award as well as the champion pen of ewe lambs accolade after coming first in the large flock section.
The judge – Alan Blackwood who runs the Auldhouseburn flock at Muirkirk – awarded reserve overall to Jemma Green’s Corskie flock at Corskie Farm, Garmouth. Ms Green also won the best medium flock, champion show flock and best show attendance for 2019 awards.
Other prizes awarded included champion stock ram to Deveronvale Aftershock from Graham Morrison’s Deveronvale flock at Inchbruich Farm, Cornhill. Reserve went to Alwent Big Boy from Matthew Seed’s Auchry flock at Home Farm, Auchry.
The best small flock prize went to Keith Ingram’s Aultmore flock at Grange, Keith.
