Growers will be given an insight into the latest crop research at a series of free agronomy events.
The events, which have been organised by levy body AHDB and Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC), and jointly funded by the Scottish Government’s Farm Advisory Service, will feature discussions on the latest fungicide performance results and recommended varieties.
Discussions will also focus on sustainable arable systems and grain markets in the context of Brexit.
Chris Leslie, AHDB’s arable knowledge exchange manager for Scotland, said: “These regional events offer the opportunity to access the latest agronomic information and discuss its practical application at a local level. Common problems are best met by common solutions so I encourage anyone with an interest in arable farming to attend so they benefit from these events.”
An Aberdeenshire event takes place on January 21 at Thainstone House Hotel, Inverurie, while the Highland event takes place on January 23 at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness.
Both events start at 9.30am and spaces can be booked online at
