A north-east farm shop has reported a huge increase in sales of vegetables and potatoes since the coronavirus crisis escalated.
The Spud Hut, which operates as an honesty shop at Cairnton Farm, near Laurencekirk, is now expanding to meet demand.
Fiona Smith, who runs the Spud Hut, said: “We have started working closely with other suppliers to expand what we offer but also sell our own tatties and vegetables.
“We have also put up another shed to give us more room for social distancing and to help more small businesses.”
The hut is open seven days a week and operates on an honesty box system or with PayPal payments.
