Banchory Show is the latest agricultural event to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement the show’s organisers said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Banchory Show and marquee dance.
“This would have been a celebration of the 200th year of the Deeside Agricultural Association who organise the annual event.
“The decision has been taken in line with government guidance surrounding the recent outbreak of coronavirus.”
The show had been scheduled to take place on Saturday July 25.
A host of other agricultural events have already been cancelled or postponed due to coronavirus restrictions.
These include the Royal Highland Show in June, which attracts almost 200,000 visitors, and the Fettercairn Show, which takes place on the first Saturday of July.
The National Sheep Association has postponed its Scotsheep event, which was due to take place in June, and the Royal Northern Agricultural Society has rescheduled its Countryside Live event until next year.
