Brechin-based precision farming specialist SoilEssentials has been appointed the new dealer for Garford Farm Machinery in Scotland.
Garford’s range includes precision-guided hoes, in-row weeders and row crop equipment.
Its Robocrop products use video cameras and image analysis computers to locate crop position and then guide hoes quickly and accurately.
Rod Armour, head of sales at SoilEssentials, welcomed the appointment and said: “Garford is an obvious choice to represent as a brand, being the market leader in inter row weeding technology, and one we’re extremely pleased to have in our portfolio.
“SoilEssentials have always been at the forefront of agritech solutions and Garford will slot in and complement our other solutions available to growers.”
Garford’s sales manager for the UK and Ireland, Harry Coppin, said the firm was appointing new dealers to meet growing demand for its products.
He said: “SoilsEssentials have a fantastic team, motivated and enthusiastic to support the product within the Scottish markets.”
