Scottish breeders enjoyed success at Harrison and Hetherington’s online timed auction of pedigree Limousins.
The bull sale topped at £15,000 and 34 entries sold to average £5,439.41.
The sale leader, selling to Procters Farm near Clitheroe, Lancashire, was 15-month-old Maraiscote Phil, by Bassingfield Machoman, from Wishaw breeder Ian Nimmo.
The Maraiscote herd also achieved the third-best price of £10,400 for January 2019-born Maraiscote Prince, also by Machoman. He sold to Messrs MacDonald, Tormore, Dunbeath, Caithness.
Also at £10,400, selling to the Davidson family for their Corsairtly herd near Keith, was March-born Deerpark Pluto from C&R Mulholland, Aghalee, Co Armagh. He is an AI son of Plumtree Fantastic.
The Adam family, which runs the Newhouse herd at Newhouse of Glamis near Forfar, topped at £7,200 when they sold July 2018-born Newhouse Oban, by Westhall Jammy, to Messrs Baillie, Carnwath, Lanark.
Aberdeenshire breeders Neil and Stuart Barclay, who run the Harestone herd near Insch, topped at £6,600 when they sold November 2018-born Harestone Octane to Messrs Jerman, Adfa, Powys. He is an AI son of Swarland Likelylad.
The Barclays also made £5,000 selling October 2018-born Harestone Offside, by Mereside Lorenzo, to Messrs Grieve, Birtley, Hexham.
Other leading prices included: £6,400 for Bernish Oscar from K McCrory, Cavanreagh, Co Tyrone, selling to Messrs Cooper & Son, Govals Farm, Kilcaldrum, Forfar; £5,000 for Garyvaughan Ozzy from CV Lewis & Sons, Buttington, Powys, selling to Messrs Hendry, Heads of Auchinderran, Keith; and £5,000 for Slieve Pedro from the McGeehans in Co Tyrone, selling to Messrs MacKay, Upper Ardnagrask, Muir of Ord.
Females topped at £10,600 for Goldies Omaria from Dumfries breeder Bruce Goldie. They averaged £3,125 for 28 sold.
