Brand webinars to help connect farmers to communities
ByGemma Mackenzie
Advice on building a farm brand to connect farmers with their communities and customers will be given at a pair of online seminars next week.
The free events, organised as part of the Scottish Government’s Farm Advisory Service, will be led by SAC Consulting’s senior brand and marketing consultant, Kerry Allison.
“Whether you have a business selling produce, products, or services; are considering starting a social media account to help educate children about agriculture; or if you want people to shop local or support their local community, a brand will help you to do that,” said Ms Allison.
“Building a brand is about building a personality, building a vibe, a set of principles or beliefs that someone can align themselves with.”
The first webinar next Tuesday will look at why farmers should build a brand and the benefits and costs of doing so.
The second webinar next Thursday will look at the use of visual assets and social media to build and share a brand.
Both events run from 8-9.15pm and details are online here.
