Farmers encouraged to help spread quality red meat message

An Aberdeenshire young farmer is encouraging livestock producers to put themselves forward to become brand ambassadors for Quality Meat Scotland (QMS).
The red meat levy body is on the hunt for farmers, butchers, auctioneers, hauliers and other red meat industry professionals to become ambassadors for the Scotch Lamb, Scotch Beef and Specially Selected Pork brands.
Michelle Stephen, who farms at Meikle Tillyeve near Udny, was a Scotch Lamb ambassador in 2019.
She has urged her farming peers to get involved with this year’s ambassador campaign.
“Being a Lambassador was a fantastic and rewarding experience and the resources provided gave me the tools to confidently connect with consumers and showcase the field to fork journey,” said Ms Stephen.
Anyone interested in becoming an ambassador is asked to register their interest by contacting info@qmscotland.co.uk by August 24.
