McCormick is launching a new small-size tractor aimed at the arable sector to its range.
The firm’s UK distibutor AgriArgo UK will launch the X4 range at next week’s Cereals Event in Cambridgeshire.
According to the distributor, the X4 series represents a new product category for the brand, being a “light-weight tractor with a big heart”.
Three models will be on offer initially, all featuring Deutz engines for the first time with a McCormick.
“It’s an all-new design with a remarkable choice of eight individual transmission configurations to suit every applicaiton,” said AgriArgo UK’s McCormick product specialist Paul Wade.
“Together with standard or high-flow hydraulics, different pto configurations and a new cab providing spacious and stylish accommodation for the operator, the X4 represents and attractive, modern package.”
Tractors in the range are tuned for rated speed outputs of 85hp, 95hp and 102hp, growing to peak at 90hp, 99hp and 107hp.
They come with a choice of easy-shifting synchro shuttle or fingertip-shifting power shuttle and 12×12 or 24×24 with Hi-Lo gear arrangements, while an over-drive option gives 40kph at reduced revs to save fuel.
In addition, machines in the range feature a creep gearbox to provide 16×16 and 32×32 speeds with extra-low ratios for specialist field tasks, as well as standard and ‘eco’ versions of the two-speed pto, plus an optional ground speed drive.
AgriArgo UK said the standard and high-flow gear pump hydraulics, which come with 44- and 57-litre/minute outputs, are supplemented by a dedicated 32-litre/minute steering pump for a McCormick front axle that can have built-in brakes for added security during road travel. Hydraulic lift capacity is 2,900kg as standard rising to 3,200kg with assister rams.
