A pro-Union farmer in the Black Isle, near Inverness, had originally placed a Better Together sign on his land but it was removed. So he spray-painted the cow with a ‘NO’ in the hope that the beast would be harder to shift. A passer-by said today: “The Yes campaigners must have thought they had silenced him but the farmer had udder ideas.”
