Another farmer has reacted to the independence campaign by daubing a political slogan on a 140-stone bull.
Diego – a “slightly grumpy” 900kg of British beef – became a bovine banner after north-east farmer Alan Moore’s Vote No sign was destroyed within 24 hours.
Mr Moore, of Whiteside Farm at Lonmay near Fraserburgh, said: “Although Diego lives and works in Scotland, unfortunately he is unable to go to the polling station himself because he’s under 16
He took action after another pro-Union farmer in the Black Isle, near Inverness, spray-painted his cow with a giant No slogan after a Better Together sign on his land was removed.
