This beautiful picture of two young friends watching a combine at work has been crowned the winner of this year’s Press and Journal Farming harvest picture competition.
The image, which was taken near Earlston in the Scottish Borders, was sent in by Karen Ruthven.
It features her son, Blair, and his friend, Jolie, looking towards the harvest scene against the backdrop of the Eildon Hills.
Mrs Ruthven will now be sent a canvas print of her winning image, courtesy of our photo-sales website photoshopscot

The competition attracted hundreds of entries from across Scotland and farther afield.
