It was reported incorrectly on Saturday 21 November that NFU Scotland would present transport legislation workshops at Dingwall Mart on December 1.
In fact, the events will be held Tuesday December 8, and we apologise for causing confusion.
NFU Scotland is holding the workshops to provide information on the latest transport legislation affecting farmers and crofters.
Held in conjunction with Police Scotland and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, the sessions will cover issues such as driving licence legislation, weights, transportation of dangerous goods and tachographs.
The union’s legal and technical committee chairman, Jamie Smart, said: “Vehicle legislation is a topic that is complicated and can cause confusion amongst farmers and those that use agricultural vehicles. The workshops are the ideal opportunity for members to ask questions and find out more information about certain transportation issues that are legally important.
“Not everyone always complies with the law, some unknowingly, and these workshops will give them the skills and knowledge to comply with the law, therefore we encourage everyone to come along and participate.”
A morning and an afternoon session will take place in Dingwall. To book to attend one of the sessions please contact NFU Scotland on 0131 472 4000.
