Farmers have until the end of this month to apply for up to £20,000 grant funding to repair man-made floodbanks.
Scottish Government has unveiled details of how to get support from the £1million Agricultural Floodbank Repair Grant Scheme, which was announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon earlier this year.
Funding for the scheme, which has been developed with guidance from NFU Scotland, will be available through nine local authorities, including Aberdeenshire and City of Aberdeen.
Farmers will be able to carry out repairs to man-made floodbanks once their grant application has been approved without having to gain approval from environment agency Sepa.
Application forms, along with support evidence, should be emailed to afrs@gov.scot by Monday February 29.
A signed hard copy of application forms must also be sent to SGRPID, P1 Spur, Saughton House, Broomhouse Drive, Edinburgh. EH11 3XD.
