Aberdeen and Northern Marts’ (ANM) is hosting its annual show and sale of commercial breeding cattle and pedigree bulls at Thainstone on Tuesday.
More than 350 cattle are entered, including 250 cross heifers with spring-born calves at foot, with the pre-sale show set to take place at 9am followed by the sale at 10am.
Judging will be carried out by Robb Stoddart, Mill of Inverarity, Forfar.
The sale will also feature the dispersal of stock from Messrs J.A. Cruickshank, Coleburn, Elgin, which contains 70 Limousin cross British Blue and British Blue cross Limousin heifers and cows with January-born calves at foot.
The pedigree bull show and sale has 44 beasts forward including 21 Charolais, 10 Limousin, six Simmental, five Aberdeen-Angus, one Saler and one Shorthorn.
Judging starts at 11am followed by the sale at 3pm. The judge for this section is Neil Work, Mains of Dumbreck, Udny.
