Fourteen food and drink businesses from the Highlands and Islands are displaying their products at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair in London this week.
Taking place at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, during Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight, the trade show for local, regional and artisan food and drink producers is expected to attract 11,500 visitors.
Exhibitors from the region, in the Scotland Food and Drink Pavilion, include cheese companies, fish producers, bakeries and breweries.
As part of the Access to Markets programme, the event is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
Elaine Jamieson, head of food and drink at HIE, said: “The Speciality and Fine Food fair offers ambitious businesses a very real opportunity to get into new markets and win more orders.
“It is fantastic to see the Highlands and Islands represented at events such as this in London, and others right across the world, by such high quality businesses.”
One of the companies attending the event is Stornoway-based Stag Bakeries.
Owner, Charlie, Macdonald, said: “The fair is a key event for Stag Bakeries and is the ideal place to launch new products. The show enables us to meet with existing customers and to promote our brand to prospective buyers, whether they are from the UK or overseas.
“We are confident that the show will provide us with lots of sales leads which will help to continue to grow the Stag brand.”
The fair, which opened yesterday, runs until Tuesday.
