Chartered accountancy firm Ritsons has opened a new office in Inverness, bringing all its staff under one roof.
Over recent years the company has acquired three practices in the Highland Capital, increasing its team in the city to 23, spread over a number of offices.
The company said the move would also allow for further expansion in the area.
Officially opened yesterday, the office, in the old Red Cross building on Huntly Street, is close to Ritson’s former Inverness base.
Sandra Ross, a partner in the Inverness office, who has been with company since 1990, said: “The new office allows the team to be back together once again and provides the space for further expansion whilst having the bonus of providing parking at the door for visiting clients dropping off records.
“For existing customers the new office will just simply mean a change of address and we wish them a warm welcome to our new premises and new clients are more than welcome to come along and meet us and discuss their accountancy needs.”
Yesterday’s opening ceremony was carried out by the company’s most recently qualified member of staff. Elaine Boag, 26, from Muir of Ord, joined the firm on a placement from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University and has since gone on to complete her CA training.
In total, Ritsons employs 65 staff, including 12 trainees, across its offices in Inverness, Elgin, Buckie, Forres, Keith and Grantown.
The Moray-based company specialises in providing accountancy, audit, tax and business support and advice to small to medium sized enterprises and was recently placed 17th in Scotland in an annual survey of accountants.
Ristsons acquired the three practices in Inverness following the retirement of their principals David Horn, Stuart McDonald and Terry and Anne Henderson.
