A fantasy sports game founded by an entrepreneur from Aberdeen is seeking to raise £200,000 on the crowdfunding platform Seedrs.
Premier Punt, an Aberdeen-based daily fantasy sports (DFS) game, has already raised over £120,000 and estimates the value of the company to be £2.8million.
The company aims to rival DFS giants, US-based Draft Kings and Fanduel – an Edinburgh-based company that focuses on the US market.
John Gordon, Premier Punt’s chief executive, claims that his company’s newly launched “app” has attracted more UK users than its rivals.
The company added that since the launch of its app in August, it has seen paying users increase by over 1000% with players sharing over £50,000 in prizes this season.
He said: “We opened up our Crowdfunding campaign to private investors who had previously shown interest in us – and within one week we had already raised nearly £120,000!”
“Raising this investment will help us to continue to build what we believe is a superior product and, by listening to and acting on the feedback of our users, we want to add the features that our customers want, attract new customers and ultimately create the market leading product where users can compete for big money prizes in an exciting and fun way.”
