A Scottish bathroom goods supplier says it is considering expanding its operations by opening store in Aberdeen.
Brian Toward, finance director of family-run Wholesale Domestic, said the city was a “sensible place for a new showroom.”
The firm has embarked on a drive to “transform itself from a trusted local family business to a leading national bathroom supplier,” following a major refurbishment of its premises in Hillington, Glasgow.
Mr Toward said: “Wholesale Domestic is ideally placed in the central belt of Scotland to work closely with our numerous transport partners to serve Aberdeenshire and the remoter areas of the Highlands.
“We have delivered to nearly all postcodes off the beaten track with ease in the recent few years as our transport links provide daily trunks to Aberdeen, Inverness and beyond from there.”
“We recognise the strength of this geography to us in the number of customers we serve and would consider Aberdeen as a sensible area for a new showroom.”
Launched by the Toward family in 1963, Wholesale Domestic has seen turnover double since 2012 and plans to create up to 40 new jobs at its Glasgow base this year following the £3.5million refurbishment.
