Accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael has promoted one of the team in its Fraserburgh office, Iain Castles, to the role of company director.
Mr Castles, who joined Aberdeen-based Johnston Carmichael in 2012 following a merger with Ritson Smith, advises businesses across Buchan and has particular expertise in the fishing and oil and gas industries.

Meawhile, US energy service company GEODynamics has made a key appointment in its Aberdeen-based eastern hemisphere operation.
Raymond Ross, whose 25-year oil and gas career includes spells with Paradigm Group, Weatherford, Petrowell, Well Dynamics and Halliburton, is GEODynamics (UK)’s new techical computer-generated imagery director.
In one of his first assignments in his new role, he produced animations and graphics which will be exhibited at GEODynamics’ stand at the SPE Offshore Europe oil and gas show in Aberdeen this week.
GEODynamics (UK) managing director Chris Chalker said: “His industry experience and knowledge of animating and articulating the advantages of our technology is a huge benefit to our customers.”
