Human resources teams with an exceptional use of imagination are being encouraged to compete for a prestigious annual award.
Entries are still being accepted for the cHeRries which recognise excellence in the fields of HR, training and recruitment in the region.
Now entering its 11th year, the 2018 ceremony will be held on June 1 in Aberdeen, when the winners across 10 categories and the much-prized “top cherry” award will be unveiled.
One of the awards up for grabs is the gong for the Extraordinary HR Initiative, sponsored by Nexen. This is open to individuals or teams who can show evidence of a creative and innovative approach to HR.
Ray Riddoch, Nexen’s UK managing director and senior vice-president for Europe, said: “Nexen is delighted to sponsor the Extraordinary HR Initiative at this year’s Cherries Awards. This event is a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the tremendous work of HR teams across the north-east.”
Nexen is an exploration and production (E&P) company that responsibly explores for and produces oil and gas in Canada, the United States, South America, the UK North Sea and offshore West Africa. For 2017, the category was won by Wood Group’s Helen Strachan.
