Another 24-hour gym is on its way to Aberdeen after Ryden leased a 6,000sq ft property in an off-market deal to Snap Fitness.

Located near both Aberdeen University and Aberdeen College, 132 West North Street will be the first Snap Fitness gym in Scotland.

The gym, to open early this year, will offer month-to-month memberships with access to Technogym cardio equipment, group fitness classes, a large free weights area and a dedicated training area.

Ryden agency partner Paul Richardson said: “This modern facility has excellent roadside frontage and is in an ideal location for a gym operator.

“We received strong interest in the premises prior to the previous tenant’s lease expiring and this has resulted in a strong letting to Snap Fitness. I’m certain the new gym will be very successful.”

Ryden acted on behalf of the landlord, GSS Developments, while MSG Group, which is rolling out the international Snap Fitness franchise in the UK, represented the new tenant.

Two other 24-hour gyms, PureGyms sites at Hill of Rubislaw and Wellington Circle, are opening soon. PureGyms already has branches at Kittybrewster Retail Park and on Shiprow, where its facility has recently been refurbished.
