Companies which have shown a strong commitment to learning and development are being encouraged to compete for a prestigious annual award.
Entries are still being accepted for the cHeRries which recognise excellence in the fields of HR, training and recruitment in the north-east.
Now entering its 11th year, the 2018 ceremony will be held on June 1 in Aberdeen, when the winners across 10 categories and the much-prized “top cherry” award will be unveiled.
One of the awards up for grabs Tremendous Learning and Development Category. It is open to teams and individuals who have, in the last 12 months, shown a visible and measureable relationship between the business’ training and development, and the performance of organisation, teams and individuals.
Last year’s winner was Christine Calder from the organisational development team at Dundee and Angus College.
Nexen Petroleum UK has put their backing behind the Extraordinary HR Initiative gong.
Ray Riddoch, Nexen’s UK managing director and senior vice-president, Europe said: “Nexen is proud to sponsor the Extraordinary HR Initiative cHeRries Award this year.
“This award is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the innovations and creativity being put into practice by local HR teams.”
Closing date for entries is Sunday, February 18.
