Around 70 tourist attractions and organisations from across the north-east, Moray and Highlands will be represented at Scotland’s largest annual travel trade show in Glasgow next week.
VisitScotland Expo 2018 will also see delegates from countries including Canada and Germany travel north to find out more about the areas for themselves.
The event, taking place at the Scottish Exhibition Centre next Wednesday and Thursday, has attracted more than 300 exhibitors, which is the largest number since 1998.
Among them will be 49 tourism businesses from the Highlands, including Visit Inverness Loch Ness, Outdoor Capital of the UK, Carrbrige Hotel, PDH Helicopters and Alladale Wilderness Reserve.
North-east exhibitors include VisitAberdeenshire, Dounside House, Eat Drink Aberdeen, Golf Aberdeenshire and Meldrum House Country Hotel and Golf Course.
Moray’s representation will be led by Moray Speyside Tourism. Also attending from the area will be the Malt Whisky Trail, Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, Gordon Castle, Chivas Brothers and Ace Adventures and Hideaways.
About 600 tour operators and travel agents, including 450 from overseas, are due to attend the exhibition.
Chris Taylor, VisitScotland’s leadership director in the Highlands, said the expo was “one of the most important dates in Scotland’s tourism calendar”.
