The Highlands’ largest housing association is looking to add new members to its board of directors as it prepares to expand its building programme and services.
Invergordon-based Albyn Housing Society plans to spend more than £60 million in the next four years building more than 750 new homes and £9 million on major repairs and improvements between now and 2021.
The association wants new directors with experience in fields including customer service, entrepreneurship, finance, digital technology, and corporate and employment law.
Albyn owns and manages more than 3,000 affordable rented homes and has a letting, estate agency and factoring service specialising in mid-market rent and shared equity home purchase, as well as an “incubator” arm for new business activities.
Chief executive Calum Macaulay said: “We want passionate, enthusiastic people who will support our overarching vision, which is to provide for the relief of those in need through the provision, construction, improvement and management of land and accommodation and the provision of care.
“This is an exciting time for the business. We’re on track to deliver our ambitious target for new homes.
“Our subsidiaries are growing and developing transformational new partnerships.
“And our teams are demonstrating national leadership in supporting customers as they transition to Universal Credit.”
