An Aberdeen University student has been recognised as one of the best in Scotland for his skills in conveyancing.
Matthew Edwards, who grew up in the city, has received an accolade from land and property search firm Millar and Bryce for his contribution during his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice.
The 22-year-old completed his studies in Aberdeen and is now set to embark on a two-year traineeship with law firm Burness Paull.
He said: “To be recognised in this way is such a fantastic finish to my time at university.
“After such a long period of study, it will be good to now have the opportunity to put the theory and skills that I have learnt and developed throughout my academic career to good use and I’m looking forward to starting my traineeship later this year.”
Dundee University student, Carys Magee, 22, was also recognised for her efforts.
Debbie Welch, sales and marketing director at Millar and Bryce said: “The Conveyancing Student Scotland award showcases the hard work and dedication coming from these students.
“There has been rising confidence in the Scottish legal market and a lot of this is to do with the high standards attained by universities and their students.”
