Judges have whittled down dozens of applicants to reveal the shortlist for terrific teams and tremendous teachers at the north-east’s most prestigious HR awards.
Johnstons of Elgin, Robert Gordon University’s leadership development team, TAQA’s HR team and Wood’s people development team will battle it out to take home the Tremendous Learning and Development gong at this year’s cHeRries awards.
The Terrific Team of the Year award, sponsored by CMS, will go to either Dundee and Angus College; Inspire (Partnership Through Life); NOV’s regional talent acquisition team; Robert Gordon University’s HR team; or WorleyParsons.
The team at Inspire (Partnership Through Life) said they had worked “tirelessly” to deliver on a retention project, while continuing to deliver everyday HR processes efficiently, effectively and professionally.
Meanwhile, the team at NOV said: “Being shortlisted for Terrific Team of the Year is the cherry on the cake, knowing we have been selected as finalist amongst worthy competition.
“We are more than a team, we are part of a global family.”
Lydia Ross, director of HR at RGU, said: “Being shortlisted for this award is tremendous news for our HR advisory team and is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone involved in developing and delivering this key strategic project.”
Kelly Golightly, people director at WorleyParsons, said: “Our achievements over the past year simply wouldn’t have been possible without working together as one team, so we’re all incredibly proud to have been shortlisted in this category.”
The Press and Journal cHeRries Awards, held in association with Robert Gordon University and supported by wealth management and employee benefit services firm Mattioli Woods, recognise excellence in HR, training and recruitment.
They reach their climax with a ceremony at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday May 30.
