One of the team who worked in the Aberdeen office of estate agent Simpson & Marwick has become a partner of law firm Ledingham Chalmers following a merger of the two businesses.
The tie-up, announced in September and completed on Friday, saw all 12 Simpson & Marwick staff in Aberdeen join Granite City-based Ledingham Chalmers.
These include lawyer Lynne Stewart, who has also become Ledingham Chalmers’ fourth partner appointment this year.
Simpson & Marwick property partner David Geddie now has a consultancy role with Ledingham Chalmers Estate Agency, which operates from offices in Alford Place and Rose Street.
Miss Stewart graduated from Aberdeen University before joining Paull & Williamsons, going on to become a senior associate at Simpson & Marwick. She said: “The partner role is a great opportunity to help drive the direction of the new estate agency.”
Ledingham Chalmers chairwoman and partner Jennifer Young said: “We’re bringing together two strong practices to create a stronger, sustainable market position in a region that’s experiencing something of renaissance.”
