A young Aberdeenshire entrepreneur is going into competition with some of the biggest names in the document management, storage and confidential disposal market.
Allan Carnegie’s new business, Box it North Scotland, is targeting major contracts with energy sector operators and supply chain companies, the legal and professional services sectors and healthcare operators, as well as the small and medium-sized enterprise market.
The company operates from Edzell in Aberdeenshire, serving clients across the north-east and north to Inverness.
It provides physical document storage and retrieval from secure warehouse facilities, digital scanning and cloud storage and retrieval through its own dedicated servers, as well as confidential disposal, destruction and material recycling.
Mr Carnegie, 23, said he was inspired to set up the Box It franchise after previously working as part of his family’s commercial property development business.
He has already secured confidential document disposal deals with care home operators, niche oilfield technology companies and a recruitment specialist.
Businesses need to know their confidential information is securely stored, easily retrievable, and also appropriately disposed of,” said Mr Carnegie.
He added: “The availability of locally-delivered storage both in physical and cloud form is a major part of information management for companies of all sizes in the region.
“Having already won work in the energy, healthcare and recruitment sectors, I am confident that there is a real opportunity to build a business which can expand northwards from our Aberdeenshire base, and really compete.
“I’ve invested in technology and warehouse facilities to establish the business, and plan to expand our team from an initial group of four as we secure new work.”
