Connectivity is vital to our economy.
Ports, airports, railways and roads not only allow us as locals to easily access the rest of the country but they also act as a gateway to the north-east for trade and tourism alike.
Over the last few years there have been major steps taken towards improving the transport network in and around our corner of Scotland with upgrades to Aberdeen International Airport, the construction of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and the start of the Aberdeen South Harbour project to name a few.
However as the nation starts to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, it will take time before people are comfortable using public transport again. This is why it is all the more important that we are adequately prepared for remaining connected.
In this issue of the business we take a look at some of our most important connectivity hubs and ask how important technology has been in keeping us in contact with our work colleagues throughout the pandemic.
